This large sculpture is located at the S.E. corner of the Daejeon World Cup Stadium. It appears to depict stylized soccer balls, and sweeping stainless steel arcs. There is a fountain at the base.

Gracing the southeast corner of Daejeon Wrold cup Stadium, this magnificent sculpture, by artist Hong, Seong-Gyeong (홍성경) was placed in May,2002.
This large stadium was built in 2001 for the 17th FIFA World Cup matches, the first to be hosted in Asia, and the first to be co-hosted by two countries - Korea and Japan.
With a seating capacity of over 40,000, this stadium is now home to the professional Daejeon Citizen soccer team. It is a landmark on National Highway 1, immediately off the Yeseon exit if IC-251.
