The Capilla de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe Chapel) is located in historic Old Town Plaza in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It was established by Sister Giotto Moots in the early 1970's and was meant as an all-faiths chapel for artists seeking a spot for relaxation and reflection. It is now open to the public and is open 24 hours a day 365 days a year.
From allgetaways.com website:
Despite its obvious Catholic character, this tiny chapel has a decidedly nonreligious, yet very spiritual, feel. Coupled with its beautifully landscaped courtyard, the chapel is a welcome break from the sometimes overwhelming presence of tourists. You’ll find no pews inside, but rather two small rooms. The first contains a shrine to the chapel’s namesake, complete with candles burning in brightly colored holders, but it’s the second room that evokes more philosophical musings. Thought-provoking verses that are not obviously biblical are carved into wooden panels on the walls. No matter what your spiritual leanings are, it’s a very welcoming place.
