The Castro Zambujal is a fortified settlement from the Copper Age or Chalcolithic dating from March. Rd millennium BC Set in a rocky spur on the right bank of the Ribeira Pedrulha, Sizandro River tributary. Discovered in 1932 by Leonel Trindade, was excavated during the 60's and early 70's by the German Archaeological Institute. It is a fortified prehistoric four walls and towers, and they had human occupation over at least 800 years.
