Lions Park is one of Norman's nicest recreational parks. It has a lot of wonderful facilities for families to enjoy: playground, backstop, lighted field, jogging/walking course, lighted tennis courts, a gazebo, and restrooms that are open April - October).
One really unusual thing about this park is the large amount of art, which appears to be a school project based on the drawings I observed.
In addition, Lions Park is just north of Firehouse Art Center, which has several large sculptures on display right next to the Lions Park parking area.
The Lions Park plaque is set in a stone foundation, at the far NE corner of the area. The top plaque shows a lion, with the words Lions Club.
The lower plaque has text listed below:
