The sign depicts a Miner's Lamp and pick. Sheaf of corn with scythe and spade. Two Hares together in the centre. These are connected with the local industry of caol mining and farming. In the local area of Wentworth there were two windmills which have now been converted to private residences. The village is in the Wentworth Parish. The coal mining industry has long since gone but the farming is carried on in the large surrounding area.
Location: B6090 Harley Dike Hill, South Yorkshire. UK

Plaque: no

Construction Material: Carved Wood

Artist: I am pretty certain they were done by Steve Franklin who is a wood carver with his workshop in the old methodist chapel in the village itself.
