Dr. Charles Nemethy (1862-1941) was a famous politician at the Horthy era. His very loved dog was Fool, who was the model of this statue. There is two nice statues form this Dog in Budapest.
This sculpture was made by Maugsch Gyula at 1938. It was originally located on Pasaréti road, but in 1952 it was moved to its present location at the corner of a small square between the Alsó Erdo sor and the Isabella Street. The 110 cm bronze dog statue has long been pricking up his ears and watching on 40 cm stone pedestal.
