Sbirkove skleniky ve Smetanovych sadech v Olomouci patri k nejvetsim a nejvyznamnejsim v Ceske republice. Nejstarsi a nejvetsi z nich je palmovy sklenik, postaveny v letech 1927–1930. Na plose 1 500 m/2 muzeme obdivovat spoustu druhu palem, bananovniky, fikusy, ibisky a v poslednich letech zde pribyly kvetouci orchideje. Mnoho mistnich exemplaru je pres 100 let starych, byly sem vysazeny ze skleniku moravskych zamku. Dalsim zajimavym obyvatelem palmoveho skleniku je kajman brylovy jmenem Fany, obyva akvaterarium spolu s nekolika zelvami. Vstupni portal do skleniku vytvoril akademicky sochar Julius Pelikan, zak J. V. Myslbeka. Dalsi tri skleniky jsou mensi, ale nemene zajimave. V tropickem skleniku muzeme obdivovat bazeny s lekniny, tropicke liany, vonne kere, bromelie a anturie. Subtropicky, neboli citrusovy sklenik je domovem subtropickych ovocnych stromu, na nichz zraji citrony, grepy, pomerance a mandarinky. Rovnez se zde dari levanduli, jiz u vchodu nas privita jeji vune. V kaktusovem skleniku, jak patrno z nazvu, nalezneme spoustu kaktusu a sukulentu.
