This memorial tablet is located in the V.th. district of Budapest, in the corner of Kamermayer Károly square.

András Fáy was born in 1786 in Kohány (Zemplén county) and died in 1864 in Budapest. He was a well known writer and politician, one of the most active figure from the Hungarian Reform-age.
On the location ot his memorial tablet was found in 1839 the first savings bank in Budapest based on the idea of András Fáy.
