These magnificent topiary birds can be seen in the grounds of Waddesdon Manor.

The topiary frames are delicately covered with alpine, evergreen plants creating a patchwork of colour. They effectively detail the different parts of the birds.
The first bird stands at the co-ordinates above with three large tail feathers noticeable. The other bird stands at N51 50.541 W000 56.403 and gazes up at the sky. Each stands in an attractive bed in a fenced enclosure.
The gorgeous aviary nearby contains a very important collection of birds vital to the conservation of their species. They originate from the Far East. We assume that these topiary birds reflect these special living ones and show the Rothschild spirit prevalent today in preserving them.
