Seymour Tower, was built of granite in 1782 and was the only square tower built, the later towers were round. This tower is located a mile and a half offshore in a RAMSAR designated area. It is only possible to visit on foot during certain tides (this inter-tidal area experiences one of the most extreme tidal ranges in the world). For safety reasons the walk to this tower should only be conducted with a suitably qualified local guide such as the following: Jersey Walk Adventures Jersey Heritage also offer the opportunity to stay overnight at the tower.
