The library has occupied its current location within the town since 1910. Llandudno is Conwy County Borough Council's busiest library receiving around 170,000 visitors a year. It stocks approximately 38,000 books, CDs and DVDs and has 23 PCs for free access to the Internet. There is also free Wireless access at this library, photocopying and faxing facilities.

The library has community rooms for hire for meetings and training purposes, and hosts weekly story times for the under 5s and Internet taster sessions on a regular basis. There is also Language & Literacy Support and IT tuition available. For up to date information about any events taking place in the library, visit the News & events section.

There is access for people with disabilities:

* Wheelchair access via automatic doors and a ramp
* Lift available for wheelchair access to first floor
* Registered assistance dogs are welcome

...and the library is a Breast feeding friendly premises.

The public library is the starting point for the Town Trail, a carefully planned walk that facilitates viewing Llandudno in an historical perspective, and there are full Tourist Information Centre facilities.

The Roll of Honour that commemorates soldiers from Llandudno who fought in WWII can be found here. It has been relocated temporarily to the Archives, in Lloyd Street, for the duration of the refurbishment and will be returned to the library when it re-opens in January 2011.

The Library holds an extensive collection of photographs of people and places in the Conwy and Llandudno area of Caernarfonshire. The Photographs, slides and prints collected by Llandudno Library range in date from 1857-1983, and include photographs of paintings and original artworks. Local Archives are also held here and the library has been designated an Archives Access Point.

Films were shown in the library by John Codman, an early pioneer of the motion picture industry, and his company, ?John Codman's Touring Party, between 1914 and 1915. It is here that we find a blue plaque set up in memory of him.

The building has Grade II listing.
