There are only a handful of vegetarian restaurants in Phnom Penh, and none of these cater for the tourist/expat market. Rather, they are aimed at the handful of locals who prefer a vegetarian meal from time to time.

This restaurant is small, with only six tables, with only limited English spoken. The menu is small, only 4 pages, and is centred around a mix of Kymer/Chinese dishes. Expect to see a lot of faux meat—crab, and vegetable viscera ! If not-meat is not your thing you will have a noticeably reduced range of dietary options.

The food is tasty, and freshly prepared. Certainly cheap, us$5 will buy you a very large meal, a set menu (of which there are several, 3-4 courses) for us$2.50 is sufficient for one person. The restaurant is clean and pleasant, but with a plain decor. Few westerners visit, the staff were just a little shy when I entered and were hesitant in bringing me a menu.

Not too difficult to find along the busy Street 130. Just tell your tuk tuk driver 'Sharky Bar', and you will be taken directly opposite.
