Wasserfallenbahn starts in Reigoldswil at 544 meters above ground, the upper station is on Wasserfallen at 928 meters. The lift has a length of 1941 meters. It is the only aerial lift in the Northwest of Switzerland; the area is a popular hiking destination.

The lift was originally built in 1955. In 2006 it was replaced by a completely new construction at exactly the same location.
