The obelisk monument was erected on June 27, 1901, exactly 35 years after Battle of Nachod. Just at the place, where it was erected, 35 years ago Austrian and Prussian Cavalries encountered here in fierce battle, when more then 300 victims was kiled. The obelisk is the work of Brno's sculptor Tomola and it is dedicated to mostly Moravian curraisers from the 4th and 6th Austrian cuirassier regiments.

Arcivévoda František Salvator nechal vytvorit dominantní památku náchodského bojište – obelisk vysoký 13 m, venovaný moravským kyrysníkum od pluku c. 4 a 6. Dílo brnenského sochare Tomoly bylo slavnostne odhaleno 27.6.1901. Ve výklenku celní steny leží bílý mramorový lev, nad ním je plastika složená z kyrysnických odznaku. Pomník stojí ve skupine stromu pri ceste z Branky do Vysokova, v místech srážky rakouské a pruské jízdy.
