Batu Feringhi beach is at the North end of the Malacca Strait so its reasonably protected and not the place to go for big waves.
A number of resorts front its length, however the beach has public access.
Jet ski hire and Para-sailing operators ply their trade as well as quad bike and horse riding concessions.
