The Banyan is a new cafe, created mid 2010, and it is a welcome addition to the cafe scene in Phnom Penh. The cafe is situated in a pleasant area of the city, in a long street with a variety of buildings ranging from embassies, book stores, to other cafes. The cafe serves a full range (though no alcohol) of drinks, plus snacks and small meals. The decor is simple, with dark, wood colours, and with background music. Wifi is free for customers. The food service has a nice touch, at the end of a meal each person receives a small plate of freshly cut fruit. A great way to finish a meal (and help reduce tooth decay!).
