The town and province of Battamabang in eastern Cambodia is known as the rice bowl of Cambodia. The town itself is not overly large, but it is a pleasant and quiet spot to spend a few days. For amusement and recreation, just 'across the river', near a bridge, is a small amusement park, with the usual range of activities. The principal attraction of which is a ferris wheel. Not overly large, but certainly popular with the children.
