Easiest access to this natural spring is along the sandy white beach, just several hundred meters away from the parking lot at Frenchman Bay Picnic area. It was first documented by Captain George Vancouver in September 1791, when visiting with his ships Discovery and Chatham, and is still producing fresh water more than two centuries later.
If you're up for a challenge, you'll also find an Australian penny hidden at the precise location indicated by the coordinates (please do not try to remove the penny, but leave it for others to enjoy finding as well) - it is in plain view, you just need to look in the right spot to find it!
