The Age has a cisulation of 197,500 increasing to 279,900 on a population of approx 4 million in Melbourne CBD.
The paper had its beginnings in 1854 founded by the Cooke brothers John and Henry and a third partner Walter Powell.
In 1890 it was selling aprox 100,000 copies a day.
Its current headquarters accomodates approx 1,400 staff in its new $110 million dollar building and has a 5-star green rating.
