The City of Tempe requires developers to invest in art through the city's public arts program. It can also elect to add art into its design.

This piece by David Brandt is one of five different men practicing their trade craft.

The area's original intent was for furniture stores to occupy the buildings and this piece shows a man hammering nails into the top of a bench. A lone bird watches as he bends the nails as he works.
