The residence at 206 W. 8th Street west of downtown Chandler was once a single family dwelling, and was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984 (#84003116). This is a two-story frame dwelling built in 1907. The building is currently operated as The Statehood Inn, a lovely bed and breakfast.
At the curb in front of the home are two concrete posts with rings for securing horses. There are two concrete steps which are highest toward the road, stepping down to the sidewalk, for those stepping down from a horse, wagon or coach.
