Sightseing trip on wooden rafts. Formely a painful craft, nowadays an attraction show – sightseeing tour on wooden rafts. For centuries people carried on wooden rafts goods from the mountainous parts of Slovakia to the south. They carried mostly building wood, but also hay, corn, pottery, cloth, wooden shingles, squared logs, panels and even decomposed wooden houses. They also carried the goods on wooden rafts from Poland – lead, copper but mainly salt - in 1695 it was more than 16 000 tons of the salt imported from Poland on wooden rafts. Sightseeing tour on wooden rafts on the river Orava under the rock cliff of Orava castle which is almost 800 years proud dominating feature of Orava.
