Near the Continental Divide Trail, visitors can find this former wilderness cabin - presumably a trapper's cabin since there are no known mine shafts in the immediate vicinity.

The trailhead for the Continental Divide Trail is located at N38° 41.544' W106° 24.851' along County Road 267 which requires in the best conditions a 4-wheel drive vehicle.

Since the waymark is located between two creeks and is above 11,000 feet (3,350 m) in elevation, extreme weather conditions such as flooding and heavy snow may not allow visitors to reach the site.
