The Fisherman's House Duhnen is from the time when Duhnen was actually still a small remote fishing and farming village. The date when this thatched house falls in the period around the mid-18th Century (1745). The fisherman's house thus represents the oldest house Duhnen and is an example of the typical design of old coastal homes. A door in the middle of the road led directly into the hearth room, whose two sides are small rooms with wall beds, the so-called alcove, joined. Other small rooms were once the storage of small livestock, pets and the equipment or combustible material. It is a typical example of a northern German coast house.

Das Fischerhaus Duhnen ist ein in Stand gesetztes Relikt aus jener Zeit, als Duhnen tatsächlich noch ein kleines abgelegenes Fischer und Bauerndorf war. Die Entstehungszeit dieses reetgedeckten Hauses fällt in die Zeit um die Mitte des 18. Jahrhunderts (1745). Das Fischerhaus repräsentiert somit das älteste Haus Duhnens und ist ein Beispiel für die typische Bauform alter Küstenhäuser. Eine Mitteltür an der Straßenseite führte direkt in den Herdraum, zu dessen beiden Seiten sich kleine Stuben mit Wandbetten, den so genannten Alkoven, anschlossen. Andere kleine Räume dienten einstmals der Aufbewahrung von Kleinvieh, Haus- und Arbeitsgerät oder Feuerungsmaterial. Es ist ein typisches Beispiel für ein norddeutsches Küstenhaus.
Vom zentralen Flur abgehend gab es 2 kleine Stuben, einem Herdraum und Räume zur Haltung von Kleinvieh.Das Reetdach wurde immer von der Traufe zum First gedeckt. Weidenruten hielten hierbei die Bündel auf den Dachlatten. Der First wird mit Heide abgeschlossen. Heute ist ein Bekleidungsgeschäft hier untergebracht.
