The Shelden Estate is currently part of the Stony Creek Metro Park. The buildings were removed / torn down in the 1980's.

From Sheldon Road this is about a 2 mile hike on well marked hiking/biking trails.
There is a fee to enter the Metro Park. If you do so, you can park at a nearby picnic area and walk along the road. The site is located fairly close to the road, although it is not easily viewed from it.
Closer parking than that noted below is available, but it is reserved for those using the golf course. That parking is at N42 43.046 W83 6.609.
We like hiking from N42 43.018 W83 7.506 which is a dirt road to the west of the park. There is a gap in the fence where hikers and bikers enter the hiking/biking area. We typically park in the subdivision across the street.
