This stone dating to about 1,000 A.D. was discovered in 1916. The stone is unusual in that it has inscriptions in Ogham is an old Gaelic form of writing and in Runes, a Scandinavian script. The Rune script is interpreted to read "Thorgrimr carved this cross" and the Ogham portion reads, "A blessing on Thorgrimr"
