A simple polished slate bench in a lovely place to watch the world go by, dedicated to GW Masheter, over looking the river Esk and bridge at Bentpath.

It is not often you see a polished slate seat. The area around the bench is well cared for and kept clear of weeds. The surround has granite chippings down with simple slate steps leading up to the large plinth for this seat.
"He loved the valley & people in it. 1904 - 1970"
Mr Masheter's seat is a memorial to local farmer and land owner who resided at Georgefield.
