This mosque (Moschee in German) was founded in 1976 and is one of the oldest mosques of the region. Most of the visitors are of Turkish origin and belong to the Schol of Hanafi within the Sunni Islam, but this is not seen as relevant.
The mosque is in an old building at the railway station and shares this location with a cinema, a theatre, a book store, an art museum and several restaurants.
