Cerchov (1042 metru nad morem) je nejvyšším vrcholem Ceského lesa. Samotný vrchol tvorí malá skalka. Ceský les je geomorfologickým pokracováním Šumavy.
Díky odsunu místního obyvatelstva po druhé svetové válce, je místní príroda zachována v relativne nepoškozeném stavu. Zachovaly se tak hluboké lesy, zvírecí spolecenstva a typická horská kvetena.
Ceský les tvorí prirozenou hranici mezi Ceskou republikou a Nemeckem.
Hlavní vrchol je dobre prístupný, vede na nej cesta z obce Capartice. Nahore byla dríve vojenská pozorovací stanice neprátelského Nemecka.
Další možností je turistická stezka z Ceské Kubice, která je sice delší ale vede krásnou prírodou a má pozvolnejší výstup na vrchol.
Dnes je zde verejne prístupná rozhledna (vstup 20 CZK, 1,5$, nebo 1€), behem turistické sezony zde funguje obcerstvení.

v obci Ceská Kubice.

With the removal of the local population after the Second World War, is a local nature preserve in a relatively intact. Preserved and deep forests, animal communities and a typical mountain flora.
Czech forest forms a natural border between the Czech Republic and Germany.
The main peak is easily accessible, leading to a road from the village Capartice (700 meters above sea level). Upstairs was formerly a military observation station hostile Germany.
Another option is a hiking trail from the Ceska Kubice, which is longer but it leads through the beautiful countryside and a more gradual climb to the summit.
Today it is publicly accessible observation tower (admission 20 CZK, $ 1.5, or 1 €), during the tourist season here works snacks.
