This large memorial is to be found on Kings Road in Brighton, at the seaward end of Regency Square. Besides the men who fell in the Boer War from the First Battalion, Third Battalion, and First Battalion Active Service Volunteer Companies, there is commemoration of actions in Quebec - 1759, Maida, Egypt - 1882, the Nile - 1884-5 at Abu Klea, and the First and Second World Wars.

The Monument is built of dressed limestone, and is a tall pedestal with pediment at the top surmounted by a figure of a regimental trumpeter, with shell cases at the 4 corners. The memorial plaques, one on each of the north, west and east faces are laquered bronze. The supplementary plaques are on the lower south face which also carries the main inscription.
