Bedrich Smetana (2. brezna 1824, Litomyšl – 12. kvetna 1884, Praha) byl významný ceský hudební skladatel.
Dnes jsou známy predevším jeho opery Libuše a Prodaná nevesta. Významné i jeho dílo Má vlast, které vypráví o krásách ceské zeme.
V Plzni studoval gymnazium. Je zde po nem pojmenovaná ulice a místní sady.
