The Praia do Almoxarife is a fairly long beach. At one end of the beach are the remains of an old fort. This section of beach is nice and sandy. Across the coastal road near the middle of the beach is a beautiful 18th century church (Igreja Nossa Senhora da Graça) with Baroque architecture and a nice children's playground near it. In this middle section of the beach, there is a mix of rock and sand. And at the far end of the beach, it is entirely rocky. There are several cafes, restaurants, and shops within a short walk of this beach.
