Mary of the Crossroads is a small open-air roadside chapel shelter created in a Pacific Island style, where seats are provided for quiet worship in front of an altar and statue of the Virgin Mary. Worshipers have left small tokens such as woven flax flowers, paua shells, lanterns and candles.

This is situated on a grassy corner of the crossroads opposite the Omahu Fernhill Cemetery amongst the vineyards in the wine growing region of the sunny Hawkes Bay.
