Dumfries Aviation Museum was started in 1977 from a group who set about unearthing the buried remains of a Bristol Hercules' engines which had crashed 1.5 miles away. The Hercules propeller and engine have a special place in the hearts of the museum volunteers. Read more on the History of Dumfries Aviation Museum (visit link)

On the overhead beams in the control tower are some old two blade wooden propellers. The modern aluminium propellers are often still attached to their propeller boss and engine.

Would each visitor to this waymark please add another photograph of a different propeller. When I visited there were over 20 visible.
