The Ocean City Development Corporation, working with volunteers from the Art League of Ocean City, completed the painting of 10 downtown utility boxes between March 2004 and October 2004. The local electrical company, Conectiv, provided approval to paint their utility boxes. The OCDC cleaned and primed the boxes while Art League volunteers designed and painted the utility boxes. The OCDC purchased the paint and supplies for this project. This project took hundreds of volunteer hours and has added another reason to visit downtown Ocean City. This project is a noteworthy addition to the OCDC Downtown Public Art Program.
