This map was found by the public viewing area at the Blue Lagoon geothermal spa. This complex attracts thousands of visitors each year. The mineral rich waters are thought to provide great healing properties for people suffering from skin disorders. The water comes from the geothermal power plant nearby and is renewed every two days.
When visiting the spa, guests can soak in the waters, use the saunas and steam baths, sit under the waterfall, enjoy lunch or a drink from the bar as well as receive a massage or cover themselves in mud. There is plenty to do, hence the need for a map.
