The binocs are located on the mountain ridge of Monte da Espalamaca, which delimits the north end of Horta. This mountain ridge is the home of the Miradouro Nossa Senhora da Conceição, a viewpoint marked by a massive cross, and separates Horta from the Praia do Almoxarife. From this viewpoint, you can get lovely views across Horta’s bay, with the Monte Guia and Porto Pim in the backdrop.
