The frog museum in Münchenstein is located in the basement of an office building in an industrial area in the West of town. There is no real sign, just two pieces of paper stuck to a window next to the entrance.

The museum opens free of charge the first Sunday afternoon of every month, but can be rented for events anytime.

It is the private frog collection of Elfi Hiss and Rolf E. Rindlisbacher. They started collecting in 1981, in 1992 they opened the museum with over 5,000 frogs, in 1993 the collections made it to the Guinness Book of World Records. Meanwhile there are over 15,000 frogs on display.
