The
Victoria Radio Control Modelers Society is a Model Aeronautics Association of Canada (
MAAC) chartered club. The field is open from 10:00 AM to Dusk 7 days a week. It is located in Central Saanich.
To use the field you must either be a member of the VRCMS or fly under their Guest Program that allows non-member flyers to bring a plane to fly but you will have to be hosted by one of the 9 members of the VRCMS safety committee.
The public is welcome to view the flying and picnic tables along with a porta-poti are available for their use. Generally there is no charge except for large events such as the air show
A very active club, the VRCMS has a large air show every year in August and in September of 2010 was host club for the Canadian F3A (Radio Controlled Areobatics) Team Trials to determine the three Canadian Team Members to be sent to the 2011 FAI World Championship for Aerobatic Model Aircraft that will be held in Muncie, Indiana (USA) from 23 Jul to
31 Jul 2011.
