I stumbled upon this mark while exploring the area around Kantishna, AK, specifically the location of a cabin where Fannie Quigley, very famous in these parts, lived for a number of years. Gold was mined in this area. Cabin location is about 130 feet northeast of this mark. Note this is not the cabin that is relatively modern and is a tourist attraction, but rather the cabin site where she lived prior to the "modern" residence.

There are a couple of stakes near the mark. Also, a casual trail from the location of Fannie's Cabin leads directly to the mark.
