Located on the south wall is the last hitching ring left in Downtown Whitby where at one time locals used to tie up their horse. The building was build by D.C. Downey in 1883 and was a flour, feed, coal and wood dealership. The coal and feed dealership eventually closed in 1962 when the building became an insurance office.
