This Bridge was build to commemorate the Millennium (2000). It crosses the river Lune, which is tidal at this point.

There are three cycle routes that meet up at this bridge, you can get to Morecambe, Kendal and Preston along the cycle routes from here.

You can also cycle up to Caton along the Millennium path, which is a very pleasant ride or walk and see if you can find all of the points of interest along the way.
