CAMP FACILITIES:
Accommodation: YMCA Waiwera Lodge has three self-contained units. Each of the three units has two bathrooms and can sleep 15.
There is a kitchen available for use with modern components. The kitchen has a double refrigerator and some deep freeze storage. With plates, cups, cooking utensils and pots provided. Please check with the ‘What to bring’ list so that all the participants are well prepared.
There is a minimum hirage charge associated with your stay unless prior arrangements have been made with the Camp Manager.

BBQ : $16 per use
School House hire : $25 Half day
Camp Grounds: The campgrounds are ideally set for 45 people, surrounded by natural trees and with a grass area in front of the Old School House.
Also have a portable campfire holder so that you can have a sing-along or a skit night outside in front of a fire. The grassed area can be used for Volleyball, Soccer, Rugby or Cricket.
The Waiwera River runs right pass the back door step which is an excellent opportunity to get the kayaks out and have some fun.
Wenderholm Regional Park is right across the river, or a 10 minute walk to Auckland’s first regional park. Most of the walks have spectacular views of the coast and opportunities to see native pigeons, tui and the grey warbler. The Pohutukawa is amazing at Christmas and the kowhai is great around August.
