Having stood for 600 years the old London Bridge was demolished in 1832 [1]
This alcove, which is a listed building [2] was removed and originally used as a shelter for convalescing patients. It now houses a statue of the poet John Keats[3]
There is another, similar, alcove in Victoria park in East London[4]
