This piece is a tribute to the sea. The artists feel that seashell break down into sand and sand is used to manufacture glass - so all glass is related to the sea and seashells. The layout of the piece is a spiral, like many common seashells (visit link) . The piece also uses recycled items.

The chickenwire fencing is to keep people from tripping and breaking the bottles while waiting in line to enter the nearby amphitheater (Fiddler's Green).
