Red Rocks Park is a transitional zone from the Great Plains below to the Rocky Mountains above, and its unique sandstone geology create a desert zone.
There are dinosaur fossils, pine forests, pinon trees and prairies, geologic wonders and several good trails to enjoy.
This flora and fauna information sign provides a simple overview of the geology, animals, birds and vegetation that visitors can expect to see.
