Döse ist ein Stadtteil von Cuxhaven. Der Strand besteht aus einem Sandstrand direkt am Meer und einem Grünstrand zwischen Sandstrand und Deich. Der Strand von Döse erstreckt sich von der Kugelbake bis zum nächsten Stadtteil Duhnen. Hunde sind nicht erlaubt, es gibt aber in einem anderen Stadtteil von Cuxhaven einen speziellen Hundestrand. Drachen darf man nur in einem extra ausgewiesenen Bereich fliegen lassen. Der Strand eignet sich zum Sonnenbaden, das Meer zum Schwimmen und das Watt zum Wandern. Für Badegäste ist es sinnvoll, sich bezüglich der Tide vorher zu informieren. Der Strand hat keinen Hauptzugang, sondern mehrere Zugänge über den Deich. Der Zugang zum Strand ist kostenpflichtig.
Am Strand befinden sich zwei Restaurants, öffentliche Toiletten, Strandkorbvermietung, Souvenirshops und die Möglichkeit, Eis, Snacks und Getränke zu kaufen und (kalte) Duschen. Es gibt einen großen Parkplatz und einen Abstellplatz für Wohnmobile. Der Strand ist über öffentliche Verkehrsmittel gut zu erreichen. Am Deich befinden sich Rollstuhlrampen.
An einem der Restaurants gibt es einen Spielplatz, ein weiterer Spielplatz ist im Kurpark von Döse in Strandnähe hinter dem Deich.
Döse is a district of the city of Cuxhaven. It has two beaches - a sand beach directly at the north sea and a grass beach between sand beach and the dike. Dogs are not allowed, but there is a special dog beach in another district of Cuxhaven. It is allowed to fly kites in an acknowledged part of the beach.
The beach is very nice for sunbathing and you can swim in the North Sea or walk in the mudflats. Due to the tides there are lots of tide information boards.
The beach has no main entrance but a lot of entrances along the dike. A fee has to be paid.
You will find two restaurants, public restrooms, beach chair rentals, souvenir shops (where you can buy icecream, beverages, snacks) and (cold) showers. There is a parking area and an area for campers close to the dike. Public transportation is available, also wheel chair access to the dike.
A (small) playground is located at one of the restaurants directly at the beach, another (public) one is located in the gardens of a health resort behind the dike close to the beach.
