Except in winter, the Maple Trail is one of the mostly used trails in Beaudry Provincial Park. It's only accessible from the Trans Canada Highway about 3.5 km west of Headingley.

When the Assiniboine River freezes, this trail is a popular cross country ski trail since it can then be accessed from the main part of Beaudry Provincial Park which is south of the Assiniboine River.
From the Trans Canada Highway, turn at: N49 52.816 W97 27.351.
Maple trail is about 5 km in the shape of a very warped figure 8. There is a warming hut at the trailhead and another in the middle of the loops.
Two other trails, Basswood (3.4 km) and Cottonwood (2.5), are also only accessible from the Trans Canada Highway except during the winter. Parking for these two is 2 km further west at N 49° 52.555 W 97° 29.179.
The three more popular trails are in the main part of Beaudry Provincial Park on the south side of the Assiniboine River. They are Wild Grape (2.5 km), Elm (2.8 km) and Oak (2.0).
