The mansion - Spökslottet at 116 Queen Street - is the city's most famous haunted house. The building will be both buried treasures and walled skeleton after the first owner, the terrifying pirate Hans Petter Scheffler, who will be buried here. Another very bad owner, Jacop Balthazar von Knigge, shall have entered into covenant with Satan. According to legend there was, in 1796, a carriage with black horses to the house. The driver, who had both horns and tail Knigge fetched as it was agreed and disappeared among the road sparks and flames. These figures and others have been lurking in the game rooms, so much so that when a priest came to exorcise ghosts, he was thrown out the window and broke his leg.
Rumour has it that the original owner, the mean and unfair squire Knigge, still haunts the garden. So venture here if you dare!

Since the 1920s, the estate is owned by Stockholm University and mostly used for storage of art and to occasionally hold conferences.

Picture of mansion is taken from the park that can be entered from the Drottninggatan or from the Holländargatan. Plaque is on other side by the Drottninggatan.
