Globe of earth created by sculptor Lester C. Heckle of gray granite with highly polished surface of oceans and lightly sand-blasted surface fore continents. The equator is indicted with etched lines filled in black. The globe sits on an abstract pink granite form. The globe was placed in 1953 and is well maintained.
